Technically speaking, the first person to ever complete the trail in a thru-paddle was Donnie Mullen, an Outward Bound instructor who paddled on his self-built, 16-foot wood canvas canoe in 2000. WebThe Northeast Wisconsin Paddlers club is dedicated to advancing and encouraging paddle sports education and safety. They have various club activities, annual meetings, and planned outings should you wish to become a member. Some of their regular trips involve popular kayaking spots such as the Apostle Islands.
