WebRetaking chem 1B Hi all, as the title says I need to retake chem 1B as I got a C- this semester and I needed a solid C or higher to take chem 112A and so on. I contacted Singmaster and unfortunately it turns out I needed at least a 68% in lab in order to retake chem 1B without the lab portion. WebI took chem 1B and Bio 1A in the same semester along with math 32 (calc 3) IIRC. It's really not too bad as far as semesters can go. Sure the work loads in both the classes are larger than normal classes, but honestly I'd much rather take 3 intro classes with slightly larger workloads than the later semesters of 5 major courses again.

In other words, if you took chem1a @sjsu, you need to take chem1b here too :/ otherwise, you'll need to take 1A again @cc before taking 1b @cc. I'd recommend taking it in fall ASAP. maldi matrix thap

I think 1A is definitely more work than 30A, but getting chemistry over with during one semester rather than two is also good. So personally, I'd say take CHEM 1A and work really hard to pass it. YES you can, under a specific condition: IF you have taken 1B this semester (lecture and lab), and IF you have passed lab, but not lecture, then Dr. Singmaster will let you take JUST CHEM 1B lecture in the next semester.
